My introduction into the Falcon club began by cruizin' down Kingsway and bumping into Rick F. Back then it was in a '63 2 door sedan. With a few other Falcons. In between, I have now settled down with the '63 convertible. I have always been biased with my selections of Falcons, always on the lookout for '62 and '63's (maybe it's that rounded look that we also seem to obtain as we age).  While riding my bike in Burnaby about thirteen years ago, I came across a '63  convertible sitting in a carport full of dust. An older gent answered the door and when I enquired about the car he looked over to his wife and said that it would be nice to have some extra cash for their upcoming trip in their new motorhome. I guess my excitement showed, as in 15 minutes I went through the car checking for problem areas.   I only found some rust in the floor and dings in the rear quarter, but all the trim was there. After a few years of fixing, this is the end product. And what a joy it is to cruise around  with the top down and the rain @#$% I mean sun on your face, knowing there are only a few '63 convertibles left.

Having put in my time with the club and seeing what it has now become (some 60 members strong), I would like to challenge all of you to remember that you are now representatives not only of our car club, but also of the car hobby as a whole.

Long live the Falcon (and now also the Frontenac - my next project).
